I-15/Limonite Ave Interchange
Improvement Project
The Goal
The 2015-2016 Cal Poly Pomona Senior Project conducted a real life study for an existing interchange with support from Caltrans District 8.
The deliverables performed included Geometric Approval Drawings, Traffic Modeling, Environmental Analysis and other required studies.

The information contained within this website is for academic purposes only and is not in any way affiliated with the City of Jarupa Valley, City of Eastvale, and Caltrans District 8 ongoing projects at the I-15 and Limonite Ave Interchange. This website reflects the findings of a Cal Poly Pomona senior project case study on the improvement of the existing interchange.
A team of 12 students performed a study of the I-15/Limonite Avenue interchange between the cities of Eastvale and Jurupa Valley. They determined how well it would serve the area in the next 20 years. First, the existing conditions were researched and future traffic was simulated. If the current configuration is found to be deficient, a preliminary evaluation would be performed to identify a number of possible alternatives and select the most desirable one. They would be analyzed based on geometric, traffic, and environmental factors using local, state, and federal design standards.
